We are thrilled to share that the transformation of the Fishers Library is moving into its final, most exciting phases. Our goal has always been to create a space that is as functional as it is inspiring, and these final phases are key to welcoming you back fully this summer.

The United States 250th anniversary is coming up this July 4th! Hamilton County has also been known to host grand anniversary celebrations that reflect its founding.

When you look at the history of inventors in Hamilton County, occasionally a long-forgotten figure will emerge. In 1905, R. Walter Wilson created a system to get steady electrical power from windmills.

On Friday, May 29 from 7–10 PM, the Noblesville Library will transform into a vibrant, after-hours celebration for A Night in the Stacks, the signature fundraising event benefiting the Hamilton East Public Library Foundation and library programming.

Born in 1898, Audrey Haworth was a librarian at the Noblesville Public Library. She graduated high school in 1917, and she created a scrapbook, "Graduation Days", detailing the social events of her and her friends as they went through their senior year.

Stop by the Fishers or Noblesville Library between April 19–25 to celebrate National Library Week! Collect each card in our limited edition set of library trading cards featuring the Treehouse Ten, a team of charming mascots inspired by wildlife native to Indiana.

Beginning in May, we are upgrading our catalog to make it easier for you to browse and find what you want. This will also improve our staff experience at the same time. Please bear with us as we make these changes, and we apologize for any inconvenience along the way.

Join us for the 2026 Local Author Fest, with free writing workshops on Saturday, April 18 and our popular Local Author Fair on Sunday, April 19.

The 10th HEPL Teen Writing Challenge has concluded, and three winners were chosen from the teen entries.
