Digital Media Lab

Providing the Space You Need To Create Your Best Work

The Noblesville Library Digital Media Lab was created to provide our community with access to high quality equipment for digital media projects.  Use of the digital media lab is reserved for utilizing the software for video editing, graphic design, web development and photography. For general computing needs, please visit our public computer lab.

The Digital Media Lab offers two 27-inch iMac computers and software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion. The Digital Media Lab was made possible by the generous donation from the Friends of the Library.

  • Epson Perfection V850 Photo Scanner.
  • Convert VHS tapes to DVD’s or digital files.
  • External hard drives are available to check out.
  • Set of headphones for each iMac.

Adobe Creative Cloud is available on both iMac’s. One computer will feature Final Cut Pro X and Apple Motion.

Anyone Grade 6 and older may use the lab.  Anyone younger than Grade 6 must be accompanied by an adult.  A library card is not required, but proof of identity is necessary. Up to two people per computer.

Users may reserve space in the lab for up to two hours/day, twice/week up to four weeks in advance. Email Noblesville Adult Services, call (317) 770-3215 or stop by the desk to reserve a time. Walk-ins welcome, if space is not reserved or in use.

Training is not required, but is offered. Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements group classes are available, as well as one-on-one sessions for all software in the lab.  Staff is also available to assist with basic troubleshooting issues during lab use.

Use of digital media equipment and software is guided by the library’s Internet & Computer Use Policy.  More specific procedures for use may also apply, due to the specialized nature of the equipment and software.
