Friends of the Library Bookshop
The Friends of the Library bookshop in Fishers and Noblesville are both now open and accepting donations.
Fishers Library Entrance
All entrances of the Fishers Library are now open. The exterior book drop is open.
The Indiana Room
The Indiana Room is currently offline as we prepare to open our Crossroads Discovery Center. Our staff and a limited collection are still here and available!
Fishers Branch
The Fishers Library renovation will focus on more pedestrian-friendly access and gathering spaces, improved traffic flow and expanded parking, integration of the south entrance with the Nickel Plate trail, redesigning the north entrance to become the new main entrance, and expanding the north side parking.
All entrances at the Fishers Library are now open. Fishers Library and Ignite Studio visitors can park in the library’s north or east lots or can find additional parking throughout the Nickel Plate District shown on the map.
Noblesville Branch
The Noblesville library renovation will focus on improved traffic flow and expanded parking, increasing access to green spaces, creating outdoor amenities for all ages plus an updated front façade. We are expanding our Indiana Room with more experiential learning opportunities, exhibits, and improving second-floor access.
In March 2023, we celebrated the reopening of the main library entrance. All visitors may now enter the library through the main lobby doors or through the Children’s entrance, and the temporary side entrance has closed. Along with expanded parking, our Curbside Pickup Service and book drop are still available in the South parking lot.

How will I return library materials during construction?
How is the library incorporating sustainability features like native plants and trees in the construction plans?
HEPL is committed to integrating sustainability principles into our construction projects and creating green spaces throughout the grounds of both libraries. Our goal is to create green spaces and outdoor amenities to provide residents outdoor library experiences to enrich community life and well-being.
While greatly expanding our parking in Fishers and adding more pedestrian-friendly access and gathering spaces, our green spaces will include native pollinator plants, native trees, and evergreen trees. More than 100 new trees will be planted, and native pollinator plants will be added to our urban landscape throughout the library grounds in Fishers.
In Noblesville as well, native trees and plant species will be planted throughout the parking areas and green spaces to provide rich color, texture, and shapes that add beauty and enhance our ecosystem.
Additionally, library remodeling plans incorporate natural and more efficient lighting, more efficient heating and cooling, and energy-efficient windows.
What services will be available during construction?
Patrons can come inside our libraries to browse and pick up library materials. Other services available at this time include: printing, mobile (wireless) printing, public computers, copiers, Curbside Holds Pickup, digital media lab (Noblesville), Indiana Room (Noblesville), and Ignite Studio (Fishers).
