Let’s celebrate HEPL! April 6 – 12 is National Library Week, which is a celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. The Fishers and Noblesville branches alike have exceptionally talented teams dedicated to creating vibrant and collaborative spaces for the benefit of our visitors.
During National Library Week, you can explore, discover, and win! We’re activating a scavenger hunt that will inspire you to explore the library and discover hidden gems for a chance to win some exciting prizes. Bring your curiosity—fun awaits for all ages!
Hidden Gems Scavenger Hunt
Start your adventure at the main lobby service point of either branch by picking up your scavenger hunt guide! Scavenger hunts are available for all age groups: kids, teens, and adults. Follow the scavenger hunt as it takes you on a path of exploration through the libraries and check off our hidden gems as you find them!
Completing the scavenger hunt will not only provide you with an exploration adventure and a better understanding of everything that our library has to offer, but there are also prizes waiting for those who complete it! Choose from a variety of HEPL-branded items, such as notebooks for the writer, sunglasses for those looking forward to warmer months, or reading lights for the late-night bookworms. Or, take a look at our selection of coupons and promotions from local restaurants and shops. Businesses like Lincoln Square Pancake House, Rush Bowl, and Nothing Bundt Cakes have donated to our prize pool, along with many others.
HEPL Foundation
HEPL is also excited to announce the launch of its Foundation this month. The Foundation will begin accepting donations in the near future, but first we want to introduce the Foundation to the community. HEPL is the fourth largest library system in the state based on the population served. It is also one of a few that is not receiving funding from a partner foundation dedicated solely to its mission. In the past 20 years, libraries in the area have added millions to their programming budgets through their foundations. We are excited to provide a new avenue for our community to join in providing additional financial support for Hamilton East Public Library. Join HEPL during National Library Week to learn about the impact made in our community. And prepare to make an impact in the future through your gift to the Hamilton East Public Library Foundation.
