J Graphic Novels
They can be any genre and tell any story with all the same literary elements as classic literature. The format is what makes the story a graphic novel – text, word balloons, images, sound effects, and varying panel sizes. If you are an early reader, try My FIRST Graphic Novel, Phonics Comics, Balloon Toons or the Benny and Penny series. Want something a little more serious (but still fun to read)? We have Graphic Shakespeare, Manga Math Mysteries, The Wind in the Willows and the historical fiction of the Nickolas Flux series! Looking for a choose your own plot book – try the Twisted Journey graphic novels. Of course, we have all your favorites such as Pokemon, Big Nate, Babymouse, the Lunch Lady series and Raina Telgemeier’s, Smile, Drama and Sisters. It’s easy to get pulled into a story by the visual elements of graphic novels!
