Heya, heya! It’s me again, back with a hot anime list. These five mainstream anime and/or manga are worth the hype, in my opinion. Just because other mainstream anime isn’t on this list doesn’t mean I don’t like it! In fact, there are many more that I could add to this list if I had the space. Again, this is my opinion and not necessarily the one held by the library staff, and not one that you need to hold either. And with that disclaimer let’s get into the list.
The Promised Neverland, by Kaiu Shirai
This dark anime/manga is definitely worth your time if you like dark themes and demons. However, it isn’t for everyone so watch/read at your own discretion!
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, by Yuto Tsukuda
This elite culinary school anime/manga is full of funny moments and larger–than–life characters (also delicious looking food). This is a must watch/read for every foodie out there.
Ouran High School Host Club, by Bisco Hatori
This is a rom–com that many consider a classic anime, even though it’s not THAT old. It’s a lot like any romance of that style, many boys, overwhelming personalities, and rich kids. But it’s got qualities that separate it from others like it.
Demon Slayer, by Koyoharu Gotouge
Demon Slayer is a fast–paced action anime about a boy and his quest to kill all the demons to avenge his family. Except…he doesn’t have any idea how to kill a demon or how to fight at all. He goes through a lot of training and works his way up the demon corps and meets some “unique” personalities on the way.
Assassination Classroom, by Yusei Matsui
This wacky classroom isn’t taught by a human but a tentacled monster from who knows where! The government has informed the students that their job is to assassinate this monster before he destroys the earth! But the question is….can they do it?
Meet Niko
Niko is a 15-year old at Noblesville High School. They enjoy horror, despite the fact that their anxiety does not in fact like horror. Edgar Allan Poe and H.P Lovecraft are their horror authors. They also enjoy anime and manga. Their favorite book universe is the Percy Jackson multi–series universe and they were very sad when the last related book came out. They also enjoy books and stories in the mystery genre, especially if there’s murder involved. Other than books, they enjoy writing, music, and art. They are currently working on writing a story, maybe one day it’ll be published.
