Current Opportunities
Summer Reading Prize Station (Age 14-Adult)
Program Support (Ages 11-Adult):
Ignite Fix-It Coaches (Age 14-Adult)
Fix-It Coach volunteers assist community members during scheduled Fix-It Clinics at Ignite Studio. During these events, volunteers provide assistance and guidance on repairs to household items, such as (but not limited to) woodworking, textiles, electronics, mechanical items, etc. Volunteers for this assignment should have at least one area where they can provide this type of assistance. Fix-It Coach volunteers must be age 14-adult.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB) (Grades 6-12)
Teen Advisory Board is the pulse of the teen community at the library. TAB members’ positive thoughts and ideas are heavily relied upon to create appropriate and engaging programs for teens. TAB members might be asked to weigh in on any topic that relates to library service for teens. Teens receive volunteer time for participating in monthly meetings. Volunteers also have an opportunity to serve on the Events Committee and/or the Social Media Committee to earn additional service time. Volunteers must be enrolled in grades 6-12. TAB volunteers must fill out a TAB application as well as a general volunteer application.
Tidying Teens (Grades 6-12)
Tidying Teens volunteers help keep the library tidy, which may include dusting shelves, straightening books, notifying staff of problem areas, and other tasks. Volunteers do not shelve books. This volunteer assignment is open to grades 6-12. After training, volunteers schedule themselves for open shifts using the volunteer portal.
