The Kiss of Deception
By: Mary E. Pearson
Princess Lia’s life has been planned out for her from the day she was born. As the first daughter, she’s expected to have the gift of sight and her hand has been promised to a prince she has never met. The problem is she doesn’t have the gift and she doesn’t want to get married. She decides to escape to a distant village and live the life of a commoner. Things get interesting however, when two handsome strangers come to her village who seem captivated by Lia. Unbeknownst to her and each other, one is the jilted prince and the other is an assassin sent to kill her.
Fantasy readers will love this suspenseful and romantic tale of a fiery, independent princess. The mystery, court intrigue and plot twist really made me want to keep reading this first book in the Remnant Chronicle series.
