The 2023 HEPL Music Series

Love music? Join us on select Saturdays throughout the year for the 2023 HEPL Music Series! This is the ninth year the Friends of the Hamilton East Public Library have sponsored the Music Series, bringing a variety of wonderful concerts to the Fishers Library five times a year. Experience the music being performed, and watch as the expert musicians bring their instruments to life. These free concerts are for all ages, including children and families. Registration is recommended.


Laughing Jack Celtic Concert
March 11 | 2 pm | Fishers Library

This four member acoustic ensemble has collectively, over 120 years of experience performing acoustic folk music of American and Celtic origins. Their catalog contains songs from 1690 right through until today. Throw in some family-friendly humor, pirate songs, parlor songs, pub songs, and original music and you have Laughing Jack!


U.S. Air Force Liberty Clarinet Quartet Concert
April 10 | 6:30 pm | Fishers Library

The Liberty Clarinet Quartet, from the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, is stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The ensemble is committed to honor and inspire our military and civilian audiences by presenting a wide range of musical literature, from traditional classical repertoire to marches and light pop.


Monon Town Musicians with Indy Opera
April 15 | 2 pm | Fishers Library

The Resident Artists of Indianapolis Opera present The Monon Town Musicians, a story of overcoming fears, embracing differences, and accepting others through a shared love of music. Loosely based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, four wandering animals each set out to become solo musicians in a nearby talent show, and discover they have more in common than they first realized.


Raccoon Lake Sax Quartet- History of the Saxophone
September 9 | 2 pm | Fishers Library

The Raccoon Lake Sax Quartet consists of professional musicians who are dedicated to preserving the art of live music. The group provides a wide variety of programs, and today, they’ll be presenting a history of the saxophone though music. They engage audiences with historical background, musical trivia and singalongs.


Belle Musique Fall Concert
November 4 | 2 pm | Fishers Library

Belle Musique Duo is back! This concert will test your knowledge of popular music, with selections from nearly every genre, including classical standards, movie music, TV show themes, and more!


Circle City Ringers Holiday Concert
December 9 | 2 pm | Fishers Library

The Circle City Ringers are an auditioned bronze-level community handbell ensemble. The musicians will be playing seasonal music on their traditional English handbells and hand chimes. It’s the perfect music to ring in the season!
