This summer, join HEPL’s Unearth a Story reading challenge! Log reading and activities between June 1 and July 31 to participate. Registration begins May 4. Sign up on Beanstack or by downloading the Beanstack app. Once you have enrolled, start reading, reviewing books, or exploring our activities to earn points! Earn 100 points to complete the program.
Read, Log, and Win Prizes
Prizes for every age category are tied to points badges at 25, 50, 75 and 100 points. Children and Teen participants will earn a FREE book when they complete the program. All age categories will earn e-tickets and/or smaller prizes along the way. Keep reading and all ages can earn an e-ticket for every 25 points past 100, up to 300 points.
You can earn points by logging books, pages, or minutes and completing activities. Earn 100 points to complete the program. To make things easier, pick one log type at the start of the program (ex: minutes) and log all your reading with that type throughout the entire program. See how many points you can earn with each log type below!
- 1 Book = 2 points
- 20 Pages = 2 points
- 20 Minutes = 2 points
- Variety of Activities = Can be worth 1, 2 or 10 points

Get even more involved this summer by participating in activities to earn points! Different activities will earn you different amounts of points. Some examples include attending a library program, visiting us at outreach events, and even participating in fun activities from home! Participants can click on activity badges in their age level program to learn more.
The grand finale prize drawings for each age group will be held at the end of the program, and winners will be notified via email. Participants have until August 3 to enter their age specific raffles.
Summer Reading Program Kickoff Celebrations! | All Ages
Unearth some fun! Join us for an outdoor party to celebrate the start of Summer Reading with food, a dance party, yard games, and activities for all ages.
In the event of rain, we will move the party inside! Please note that a foam party will be included as part of our kickoff but requires SEPARATE REGISTRATION!
