Every first quarter of the year, Ignite Studio focuses on a specific medium or technique. This year, we’re focusing on the combination of one or more mediums used to create artwork. This work is designated in the art world as “mixed media.” Mixed media encourages artists to experiment with various techniques, textures, and materials. It allows them to blend and juxtapose elements that might not typically coexist. Unconventional materials may be used alongside more traditional ones to create dynamic works of art.
Explore our mixed media offerings this quarter, including the third annual Fishers Make-Off Competition on Saturday, March 21! (*registration required)
