Get ready for loads of family-friendly geeky goodness and fandom activities for all ages at HEPL’s 2nd annual LibraryCon! on Saturday, November 15 from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Fishers Branch.
Cosplay is highly encouraged but not required! Dress up as your favorite character and take pictures or video in the 360° photobooth. Join other cosplayers for an optional cosplay group photo op at 12:30pm or 2:50pm! Get your face painted or show off a new airbrushed tattoo from Indy Face Painting & More artists.

Get crafty in one of our themed workshops led by professional cartoonist David Reddick. Try your hand at making a comic – anyone can do it! Or, make a manga-themed button or magnet in the TeenZone. Interested in miniature painting? Sign up for an introduction to painting tabletop miniatures with Levi Huddleson, all supplies provided! Or, join Ignite Studio’s Maker-in-Residence Matt DeLoughery who will show you how to prototype your own geeky fashion in his Style Lab workshop.
Interact with our Star Wars friends from Star Wars Indiana who will be roaming throughout the library during the day!

Be a real-life superhero and donate blood at the Versiti LibraryCon! blood drive. Donors will receive a special gamer-themed t-shirt and a free book!

Forward Motion members Eric Salazar and Ashton Vickery
Music lovers rejoice! Enjoy live performances with a mixture of anime, video game, television, and movie music from world (and out of this world) musicians il Troubadore, as well as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. Forward Motion members Eric Salazar and Ashton Vickery will perform a set of music from the Legend of Zelda series for clarinet and piano. “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this!”
Want to test your trivia chops? Sign up for one or both sessions of the all-ages LibraryCon! Trivia Showdown. Whether you’re a Jedi Master, a wizard in training, or a Pokémon champion, there’s something for everyone. The top three teams will win fantastic prizes, so bring your A-game! Space will be limited for trivia so if you want a guaranteed spot, be sure to register on the HEPL event calendar.
Drop in to our open board gaming room with Who’s Yer Gamers and Indy Tabletop Game Creators to learn a new game, playtest a design, or enjoy an old favorite. If digital is your thing, check out the GameStar Mobile video game truck!
Visit the Artist Alley in the LibraryCon! Marketplace to purchase fandom art and other goodies. Or, visit the LibraryCon! Community Corner to talk with board game designers and publishers, local musicians, the newly launched HEPL Foundation, and more! See the full list of artists, vendors, and organizations below.

Check out the Friends of the Library bookstore in the lobby for a special LibraryCon! Sale. Swing by the lower lobby to see the “Random Fandom” Art Exhibit, featuring fan art from local artists.
Wrap up the day by completing our special LibraryCon! scavenger hunt—everyone who completes the hunt will be entered into a prize drawing! Also, fill out a short evaluation of the event for the chance to win more awesome prizes!
