Ignite Studio Call for Art: The 700 Collection, 2024

BY Kris Hurst, Arts Engagement Coordinator

Ignite Studio at the Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers has opened a call for art for our annual exhibit “The 700 Collection.” We are seeking art in a variety of mediums for this juried group exhibit with cash awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The 700s in the Dewey Decimal System is all about the arts! In the stacks of the 700s, readers can browse for information on traditional mediums, such as painting and ceramics, and less traditional mediums, such as digital and graffiti art. You will find books on ikebana, crocheting with wire, and stained glass as well. Show us any and all of these mediums and art forms for the upcoming exhibit: “The 700 Collection.”

We display artwork by artists of all ages and backgrounds. We encourage everyone to submit!

All work must be original.

No AI generated work.

Any work previously displayed at Ignite Studio is not eligible for entry.

Hanging work should not exceed 70 lbs.

Ignite Studio is located in a public library. We cannot accept work with nudity or profanity.

Painting, sketching, collage, mixed media, photography, ceramics, fiber arts, and sculpture are all accepted. For this show, if your medium is not listed, just ask!

All 2-D work must be wired for hanging BEFORE drop-off. No sawtooth hangers.
