We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Ignite Maker Lab in the Noblesville Branch on Saturday, January 31! This public makerspace is a vibrant, hands-on creative hub designed for innovators, artists, tinkerers, and lifelong learners ages 13 and up. The Maker Lab was built on the belief that creativity flourishes when people have access to tools, knowledge, and a supportive community—and now that space is open to you.

3D Printer
Our Maker Lab is more than a room full of machines; it is a place where ideas take shape. Whether you are a student exploring career paths, an entrepreneur prototyping a product, a hobbyist expanding your skills, or a community member simply curious to try something new, you will find both inspiration and opportunity here. From digital fabrication to fiber arts and bookmaking, the space brings together traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology.
At the heart of the makerspace is our digital fabrication area, featuring two 3D printers and a 3D scanner. These tools allow members to design, prototype, and produce three-dimensional objects—from replacement parts and custom tools to artistic sculptures and educational models. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of 3D design and printing, while experienced users can push the boundaries of creation.

Direct to Garment/Direct to Film Printer
For those interested in branding and custom goods, our textile and apparel design equipment opens exciting possibilities. The Maker Lab includes an industrial-level embroidery machine for detailed stitched designs, as well as a Direct to Garment (DTG)/Direct to Film (DTF) printer for creating vibrant, professional-quality graphics on fabric. These tools are ideal for personal projects, team apparel, artistic expression, or even launching a small business.
Crafters and designers will also appreciate access to a Cricut Maker 4 machine, perfect for precision cutting of vinyl, paper, fabric, and other materials. Whether you’re making decals, signage, stencils, or intricate paper art, this versatile tool supports a wide range of creative applications.

Long arm quilting machine
The Maker Lab also supports sewing and fiber arts with a Janome HD 500 sewing machine, known for its durability and ability to handle heavier materials. From garment construction and repairs to bags, costumes, and home decor, this machine is well suited for experienced sewists. Taking quilting to the next level, the space also features a Moxie XL long arm quilting machine, enabling users to work on larger quilts with professional results—something rarely accessible outside of specialized studios.
In addition to high-tech and textile tools, the Maker Lab honors the art of the book. Our book binding station allows members to create journals, zines, sketchbooks, and custom-bound publications. This area encourages storytelling, self-publishing, and the preservation of creative work in physical form.

Designed for ages 13 and up, the Ignite Maker Lab emphasizes learning, safety, and collaboration. Orientation sessions and guided programs will help users build confidence with equipment while developing valuable skills in design thinking, problem-solving, and creative expression. Experienced staff ensure a welcoming environment where curiosity is encouraged, and questions are always welcome.
The Ignite Maker Lab grand opening marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our community. This makerspace exists to break down barriers to access, spark innovation, and bring people together around shared creativity. We invite students, educators, artists, entrepreneurs, and curious minds of all backgrounds to explore, experiment, and make something extraordinary.
Join us as we celebrate the launch of a space where imagination becomes tangible—and where the tools to create are within everyone’s reach: The Ignite Maker Lab.
