Way back in 1897, there was a boat that traveled all over central Indiana, including Noblesville, and made some surprising journeys. Her name was Stella.

Joyce Hobson (1851-1939) was the first known woman doctor in Hamilton County. She practiced “eclectic” medicine, which might be called holistic today.
