While our library buildings remain closed to the public, our staff will return to our buildings on May 4th. We are moving forward in a measured way to restart and restore access to our physical library materials.
As you continue to enjoy our new and expanded virtual programs and access to our full range of digital collections, we are working diligently behind-the-scenes to safely recover and reshelve thousands of physical materials. Our plans are informed by CDC guidance for handling library materials. During this time, no overdue fines will accrue.
In the weeks ahead, we hope to be able to re-open our book drops, provide contactless curbside service including new materials for creative activities that can be done at home.
At this time, we do not have a set date to reopen our buildings and our Ignite Studio to the public. We are focused on safely restoring library services, while prioritizing the health and safety of our staff and patrons.
Our staff will be available by phone for live chats to answer your reference questions. Our phones will be answered by staff during the following hours.
- Mondays-Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Fridays & Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sundays, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Many of our staff are trained to answer questions related to public assistance, unemployment, troubleshooting our digital resources, completing the US Census, and information to register for our virtual programs.
We will continue to offer our full complement of digital collections such as eBooks, audiobooks, streaming movies, and free downloadable music and Apps. For information on our virtual programming, visit our website here.
Free WiFi access is available to patrons in our parking lots. Details can be found here.
We appreciate your understanding and support. We believe a phased-in restart is the most responsible course of action as we encourage patrons and staff to use best practices that will shorten the impact of COVID-19 in our community.
In the meantime, connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube and access our virtual programming calendar here. Our eNewsletter, Bright Ideas, will be sent out on May 13th with additional updates. Sign-up here.
