As the Season of Giving approaches, we’re reminded of the many things that bring warmth and meaning to our lives—family, friends, community, and the stories that shape us. Books have a unique way of inspiring us, helping us dream, offering comfort, and even changing our lives. Some we return to again and again because they speak to us in a way that stays with us.
This November, the Hamilton East Public Library invites you to take part in our interactive book display: “Books We Are Thankful For.” It’s a celebration of the stories that have touched our hearts, sparked our imaginations, or simply made us smile.
How to Participate
We’d love to hear from you! Share the title of a book—or the name of an author—that you’re thankful for. The displays will be located in the lobby area of both branches. Just write the title, author, or series on one of the special cards available at the library and drop it into the collection box.
Throughout the month of November, we’ll rotate these submissions and feature them on our display so everyone can see the books that have made a difference in our community.
Why It Matters
Books connect us. They remind us of who we are, where we’ve been, and where we hope to go. During this season of gratitude, let’s celebrate the power of stories and the joy of sharing them with others.
Stop by the library, add your voice to the display, and discover what books your neighbors are thankful for. You might just find your next favorite read.
Claudia’s favorite book series: Miss Fortune Mysteries by Jana DeLeon, because its quirky characters never fail to make me laugh
