Spring Transformations: Books About Inspiring Transformations

Spring Transformations: Books About Inspiring Transformations

By: Heidi Herald

It’s been a long time coming, but it is now officially Spring! Spring is a time for renewal and rebirth as the world awakens from the long winter. Celebrate the return of Spring with these seven books about not so typical transformations. Although these books cover a wide range of styles and topics, they all have characters whose lives are altered by their experiences. Read and be inspired. Warning:  Some books are more inspiring than others. Watch out for unexpected transformations.

If you haven’t read this 2018 Pulitzer Prize winning novel, you will enjoy the laughs along the way:

Less by Andrew Sean Greer

Mitch Albom is great at helping us see what really matters:

For One More Day by Mitch Albom

One of my all-time favorite novels (and a wonderful movie):

The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Because everyone deserves a second-chance at happiness:

The Little French Bistro by Nina George

If you have never read Kate Chopin’s The Awakening, you should.

The Awakening  Kate Chopin

A very unusual novel.

The mermaid and Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar

Unexpected circumstances lead to a heartfelt connection.

Never change by Elizabeth Berg
