Bear Sees Colors
By Karma Wilson and Illustrated by Jane Chapman
COLORS, COLORS EVERYWHERE! Bear Sees Colors is the start of a new series featuring the bear from Bear Snores On. Once again, the combination of Karma Wilson’s text and Jane Chapman’s illustrations make a big splash…of color! Mouse and Bear are taking a walk and come upon gorgeous scenes of color. Children are clued in to the next color with a rhyming text and small colored illustrations on a stark white background. The rhymes can be a little forced, but the children won’t mind. The color pages are bursting with vibrant images that children can help find. This book is a fun way to introduce colors to the very young. It is easy to see why Bear Sees Color is a 2016 Indiana Early Literacy Firefly Award nominee. Remember to have your child (ages 0-5) stop by Youth Services before May 6th to cast their vote for the Firefly Award!
