The FOL Board approved some $12,000 in funds to benefit Library programs and purchase equipment at the spring quarterly meeting. The monies will help launch a new initiative — The Ignite Studio – Maker in Residence Program — starting next year. The program, funded for $5000, will award an artist a stipend plus studio space to demonstrate his or her work to patrons.
The Board also okayed $3,600 for the return of the popular Mr. Daniel Music Program as well $880 for musical instruments for early literacy children’s programs.
Lastly, the Board authorized $2,700 for the purchase of cabinets for toy storage.
