Humphrey’s Playful Puppy Problem
By: Betty G. Birney
Humphrey, the classroom hamster of Room 26. He spends the weekends going home with children from the class. This week, he is going home with Richie. Richie has a plan for Humphrey. He is going to be the star of his science project. Humphrey says that hamsters LOVE-LOVE-LOVE to be helpful.
But Humphrey finds a surprise at Richie’s house. A puppy that is eager to play. Humphrey is happy to be safe in his cage. When there is a problem with the science project Humphrey decides he needs to get out of his cage to help Richie. Will Humphrey be able to save the experiment and stay away from the puppy?
This is an early chapter book in the collection of Humphrey’s Tiny Tales. I would recommend this series for ages 6 to 8.
